Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS)

A type of power supply designed to support the load for specified periods when the line varies outside specified limits or when the mains power fails completely.

A number of different energy storage systems are used depending on the power and time requirements:

  1. Battery
  2. Flywheel
  3. Petrol or Diesel Generator Set
