Tritium
A radioisotope of hydrogen with two neutrons and one proton in its nucleus. It is radioactive to beta decay with a half life of 12.3 years. In a nuclear fusion device, lithium is important as a source of tritium and serves as a booster for the fusion reaction in the secondary component of a nuclear weapon.
