Tin IV Oxide
White or grey crystalline solid. The fully oxidized state of tin metal. A white insoluble powder, no odour. Also known as Stannic Oxide. Tin oxide has been used primarily as an opacifier in all types of glazes for many centuries. The mineral Cassiterite or Tinstone is Tin IV Oxide and is an important ore of Tin.
