Reactions involve interaction of atoms or molecules to form new molecules or atoms by making or breaking electronic bonds.


A reaction is a force exerted by a support on an object: sometimes called support reaction. Using this definition, a reaction is an external force.


The process of combining or separating material at an atomic or sub-atomic level. Reactions absorb or release energy. Nuclear reactions involve interaction in the nucleus to form new elements.
