Radiation
A generic term that covers a number of subjects.

Electromagnetic Radiation
Consisting of electric and magnetic fields perpendicular to each other and the direction of travel. e.g. γ-rays, X-rays, ultraviolet, visible, infrared, microwaves and radio waves.

Radioactive Emission
The three types of radioactive emission are α particles, β particles and γ-rays.
