Period

The time taken for a full cycle of motion in a system executing harmonic motion. If the motion is at a single frequency f (i.e. sinusoidal) the period T is given by:

where
T = period [s]
f = frequency [Hz]
ω = angular velocity [rads-1]

Examples
Moon orbiting the earth2.37x106s = 27.4 days
Human heart beat~1.5s
Camera shutter0.001s to 1s
