Period
- The time taken for a full cycle of motion in a system executing harmonic motion. If the motion is at a single frequency f (i.e. sinusoidal) the period T is given by:

- where
- T = period [s]
- f = frequency [Hz]
- ω = angular velocity [rads-1]
- f = frequency [Hz]

| Moon orbiting the earth | 2.37x106s = 27.4 days |
| Human heart beat | ~1.5s |
| Camera shutter | 0.001s to 1s |
