The time taken for a full cycle of motion in a system executing harmonic motion. If the motion is at a single frequency f (i.e. sinusoidal) the period T is given by:

T = period [s]
f = frequency [Hz]
ω = angular velocity [rads-1]

The period of a periodic waveform is the inverse of its fundamental frequency.

Human heart beat~1.5s
