Particle Velocity

A fluctuating velocity superimposed by the presence of sound on the other velocities with the particles of the medium may have. In analogy with alternating voltage its magnitude can be expressed in several ways, such as instantaneous particle velocity or peak particle velocity. In air, the other velocities are those due to thermal agitation and wind currents.
