Mossbauer Spectrometer
- An instrument that provides information on the bonding of an atom in a mineral by bombarding it with gamma rays and measuring small shifts in the velocity or energy of the gamma rays emitted.
- It is most commonly used to identify the nature of iron in a mineral.
