Mechanical or hydraulic device for lifting heavy equipment off the floor. Can also be used where a force needs to be applied between two points.

A strong sealed bag that is placed under the object to be lifted and inflated with air.

Scissor Jack

A mechanical jack whereby a leadscrew is used to change the distance between two vertices of a parallelogram. The other two vertices move respectively.

Trolley Jack

A hydraulic jack with wheels to allow it to be moved across a floor and positioned under the object to be lifted.
