Infinite Impulse Response Filter (IIR)
- A commonly used type of digital filter. This recursive structure accepts as inputs digitized samples of the audio signal, and then each output point is computed on the basis of a weighted sum of past output (feedback) terms, as well as past input values. The IIR filter has an infinite duration response to an impulse.
