Gresley, Sir Nigel (1876 - 1941)
One of Britain′s most famous steam locomotive engineers, who rose to become Chief Mechanical Engineer of the London and North Eastern Railway - LNER.
Designed Mallard locomotive which set the world speed record for a steam engine at 126 mph and this record still stands today.
