Governor

Sensitivity

Change in engine speed before the governor begins to act.

Stability

Ability of a governor to maintain the required engine speed without fluctuations or hunting.

Wind Turbine

In the case of a wind turbine the governor may feather the blades so as to reduce the forces and so rotational speed.
