Fuel Injector

Electro-mechanical device that precisely meters fuel into an internal combustion engine.


The part of the injector or spray valve in which are located the holes through which the fuel is injected into the cylinder.


A small extension of the needle-valve tip projecting through the discharge nozzle. When the needle lifts, the oil passes through the opening between the circumference of the orifice and that of the pintle.
