Compliance

The displacement caused by a unit force applied to a spring or structural component. It is the reciprocal of stiffness (Units m/N).

The springiness of the system. A higher value means softer.
where: C = compliance [m⁶kg^-1]; V = volume [m³]; γ = ratio of specific heats; ρ₀ = density of the gas [kgm^-3]
