Brilliance

In concert hall acoustics, a bright, clear, ringing sound, rich in harmonics, is called brilliant. In a brilliant sound the treble frequencies are prominent and decay slowly. This means that the high frequencies are diminished only by the natural absorption of the sound in the air itself.
