Brahe, Tycho (1546-1601)

Danish astronomer who made precise observations of the sky and made a significant contribution to astronomy. He rejected the Copernican theory in favour of that of Ptolemy.

He passed on records of his observations to Jahannes Kepler. It was based on these observations that Kepler produced his three laws of planetary motion.
