Boltzmann′s Constant

A constant which describes the relationship between temperature and kinetic energy for molecules in an ideal gas.

Equal to the ideal gas law constant divided by Avogadro′s number.

k = 1.38062x10-23 JK-1

k = 8.617342 10-5 eV K-1

k = 2.0836644 1010 Hz K-1

The value was defined by the 19th century Austrian physicist, Ludwig Boltzmann
