Adiabatic Plasma

Part of plasma confinement system which involves particles where the orbit radius and orbit period are small compared to the characteristic scales of length and time.

In plasma confinement the individual particles closely follow the magnetic field lines by tightly circling them. The motion of these particles can be described by drift formalism and gyration centres.

On average, the plasma can be described by magnetohydrodynamics.
