Abrasive

A very hard, brittle, heat-resistant substance that is used to grind the edges or rough surfaces of an object. Boron carbide, diamond, and corundum are abrasives.

Natural Abrasives
sandstone, emery, corundum, diamonds

Artificial Abrasives
silicon carbide, aluminium oxide
